Guizhou Wanshuntang Pharmaceutical Co and Guizhou Geological and Mineral Survey Institute Co, two enterprises from Wudang district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were included in the second group of specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in 2023, announced recently by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
Since the beginning of this year, Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been working to increase farmers' incomes by employing a so-called "three ones" mechanism.
Over the years, Wudang district has been prioritizing rural development and in 2023 became the first in the province to be listed as one of 12 national pilot experimental zones for comprehensive rural reform nationwide.
In recent years, Wudang district in Guiyang has been working to gather technological talent, promote innovation, and advance the transformation and upgrading of its industrial structure.
Wudang has been selected as one of the country's top 100 districts in green development in 2023.
In the first nine months of this year, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Wudang district in Guiyang surged 8.2 percent year-on-year to 14.64 billion yuan ($2 billion).
