Renovated from an old rural house, the homestay has received more than 6 million yuan ($881,891) in total investment since opening in 2019. It has evolved into a comprehensive retreat offering accommodation, dining, entertainment, business events, and cultural experiences. Visitors can sip tea on the viewing terrace, enjoy scenic mountain views, experience traditional wood-fired bread baking, play in the swimming pool, and attend small concerts and wedding gatherings.
In recent years, Wudang district has been promoting a variety of tourism models focusing on homestays, wellness, healthcare, and cultural experiences. In places such as Yangchang town, services such as hot spring therapy and traditional Chinese medicine treatments have been introduced, attracting more visitors seeking long-stay travel experiences.
In 2025, Wudang district opened 604 homestays and received 83,000 visitors, up 60 percent year-on-year. The growing staycation economy is becoming a new driver of local rural vitalization.
