Wudang district has accelerated the concentration of industries and extended industrial chains within industrial parks in recent years, with the district's GDP growing from 17.25 billion yuan ($2.54 billion) in 2021 to 25.11 billion yuan by 2024. Industrial parks now account for 93.4 percent of the district's total output value of major industrial enterprises above the designated size.

"We are the first health food manufacturer in Wudang district," says Feng Shiming, deputy general manager of Guizhou Lishizhen Miao Medicine Co. "At present, we have obtained production licenses for hard capsules, soft capsules, and tablet health products, enabling us to produce six types of health food products."

Since settling in the Sinopharm Western Medical Industrial Park in Wudang in 2024, the company has established two major production bases for medical devices and food products, with an annual output value expected to exceed 500 million yuan.

The industrial park, with a planned construction area of about 400,000 square meters, has completed all 103,000 sq m of factory buildings in the first phase of its production base project. The second phase is progressing steadily and is scheduled for full completion this year. So far, more than 10 healthcare and pharmaceutical companies covering medical device manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and pharmaceutical distribution services have signed agreements and moved in.

Wudang district has developed a series of industrial parks, including Dongfeng Pharmaceutical Industrial Park, Yunjin Luowan Pharmaceutical Industrial Park, Huoshipo Specialty Food Industrial Park, Zhenhua Xintian Electronic Components Industrial Park, and the Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, attracting more than 1,000 enterprises and driving the district's economic growth.
