A production team from China Global Television Network (CGTN) arrived in Guiyang on March 15 for in-depth, immersive coverage of the city's No 252 bus route, a dedicated service connecting rural communities to urban markets. This people-centered public transport route has now stepped onto the international communication stage, sharing the story of China's public transport system with genuine warmth.

In the early hours of that day, vegetable farmers from Wudang district gathered at the starting station of No 252 bus route, loaded with fresh produce. Bus drivers were seen assisting farmers in loading and arranging vegetable baskets.

Since its launch, the No 252 bus route has adopted tailored measures – including dual-departure scheduling, an optimized stop layout, and affordable fares – effectively serving as a "bridge to prosperity" that links rural growers with city markets and eases farmers' travel burdens.

To date, Guiyang Public Transport Co has launched 41 such dedicated bus routes, covering multiple villages and towns on the city's outskirts. These routes have served 780,000 passengers and transported approximately 1,800 metric tons of agricultural products including vegetables and fruit.

This year, the company plans to introduce 10 additional routes, further expanding the reach of people-centered public services.
