Wudang records strong holiday tourism growth

On Oct 9, the Wudang district bureau of culture and tourism announced that during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from Oct 1 to 8, the district received a total of 678,100 visitors, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.76 percent, and achieved total tourism revenue of 351 million yuan ($49.24 million), up 10.14 percent compared with the same period last year.

During the holiday, Wudang district launched a series of colorful cultural and tourism activities to celebrate National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. Major hot spring resorts hosted themed experiences such as "Family Fun" and "Wellness Hot Springs", while rural destinations held harvest festivals, Mid-Autumn Festival fairs, fruit-picking tours, outdoor camping events, and bonfire parties, catering to the diverse interests of visitors.

In addition, using the Guiyang East Railway Station, Wudang district arranged for local businesses, scenic areas, and cultural tourism enterprises to carry out on-site promotional campaigns at the station, introducing the district's unique tourism products and experiences to travelers from across the country.
