Rural residents' per capita disposable income hit 15,400 yuan, an increase of 5.8 percent, ranking fifth citywide. Both indicators marked the district's best performance in recent years.
As one of Guiyang's six main urban districts, Wudang enjoys a favorable location, mild climate, and excellent natural environment, making it highly suitable for agricultural development.
The district is now home to 19 leading agricultural enterprises, including two at the national level and eight at the provincial level, alongside 243 cooperatives, 144 family farms, and 279 large-scale planting and breeding households.
Efforts to strengthen the rural workforce have also borne fruit. To date, Wudang has trained 942 new professional farmers, 1,783 farmers who already had previous experience, and 77 municipal-level rural craftsmen, providing strong human capital for rural vitalization.
In the field of traditional Chinese medicinal materials, Wudang has developed a competitive and integrated health and pharmaceutical industrial cluster. This cluster features stronger core competitiveness, improved coordination across industrial and supply chains, and enhanced digital production and management capacity, further boosting the district's role as a hub for modern agricultural innovation.
