Village Run series takes place in Wudang

The Yangchang leg of the "Fun in Wudang · Summer Running" 2025 Village Run Series took place on Aug 17 in Huahua Scenic Area, Yangchang town, Wudang district.

The event attracted running enthusiasts, outdoor sports lovers, and visiting tourists from Yangchang, Xinchang, Baiyi, and Shuitian towns, as well as Xinbu Bouyei township.

The course stretched three kilometers, with supply stations along the route providing water and fruit, as well as on-site medical support to ensure participants' safety. The lively atmosphere was filled with cheers from spectators, encouraging the runners.

"I joined with my child in the race. The fresh air here really lifts our spirits," said Mr Deng, a participant from Yangchang town.

After a spirited competition, the top six male and female runners were awarded certificates and souvenirs, while all finishers received completion certificates.

An official from the Wudang bureau of culture, sports, radio, television, and tourism noted that the village run aims to encourage more people to explore the beauty of rural areas while embracing a healthy lifestyle.

The "Fun in Wudang · Summer Running" 2025 Village Run Series will continue through December, with events scheduled across multiple towns and townships in the district.
