Wudang district holds summer community sports games

Xinchuan Road subdistrict in Wudang district held the opening ceremony for its National Fitness Games on Aug 11, offering residents a summer celebration that blends sports, learning, and entertainment.

The event aims to implement the national fitness strategy and foster a positive, healthy, and harmonious community atmosphere.

Following the opening ceremony, a "six-legged race" launched the series of fun sports activities, with parent-child and neighbor teams racing along a 20-meter track.

In the latter half of August, more competitions such as tug-of-war, shuttlecock kicking challenges, and rope skipping will be rolled out, catering to different ages and groups, and inspiring broader public sports participation.

A subdistrict official noted that the event would serve as a platform to advance community cultural development and create a more vibrant neighborhood environment.
