Wudang builds industrial system centered on health and electronics

Guiyang's Wudang district is actively advancing a modern industrial system, with the health and pharmaceutical industries as the core and electronic information manufacturing as a key specialty.

The district is home to 10 large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturers, including Jianxing and Xintian Pharma, which hold 149 medicine licenses and 93 patents, and have a total of 48 production lines that have met the latest Good Manufacturing Practice standards. The area also boasts one product with over 1 billion yuan ($139.12 million) in output and nine exceeding 100 million yuan.

Wudang has strengthened talent strategies through industry-academia-government cooperation to support industries. Since 2024, Wudang has hosted 26 job fairs and attracted 72 traditional Chinese medicine professionals. The district also partners with top universities and research institutions to co-build innovation platforms, including one national-level and numerous provincial-level R&D centers.

Wudang is developing a leading medical device and biopharma cluster and strengthening its electronics sector through strategic projects like the Zhenhua Xintian Electronics Components Industrial Park. With major players like China Zhenhua Group driving upstream and downstream integration, the district is accelerating its transition into a high-tech industrial hub.
