Wudang's urban greening strategy is visible across streets, parks, and residential areas, with over 40 types of trees and flowers cultivated throughout the year. Seasonal planting ensures "green across all four seasons, blossoms year-round", while professional landscaping firms manage and maintain green areas under strict evaluation protocols. As of the end of 2024, green space in built-up areas had reached 11.8 million square meters, with a green coverage rate of 47.4 percent and per capita park green area of 15.53 square meters.

In water governance, Wudang has enhanced its sewage treatment capacity – handling 200,000 metric tons daily at the Xinzhuang Plant – and implemented targeted river rehabilitation projects. By enforcing river patrols, controlling pollution outlets, and promoting rural wastewater solutions like artificial wetlands, the district has maintained a 100 percent compliance rate at national and provincial monitoring points.

Wudang is also promoting waste classification through educational campaigns and infrastructure upgrades, including 157 newly built garbage sorting stations. The district is forming an intelligent and efficient waste management ecosystem.
