During the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, Wudang district in Guiyang received over 180,000 tourists, generating 89.78 million yuan ($12.26 million) in revenue – year-on-year increases of 6.1 percent and 6.66 percent, respectively.
A wide variety of cultural and tourism activities in Wudang proved popular with visitors, while attractions such as Wanxiang Hot Springs, Maple Valley Resort, Poly International Hot Springs, and Yangchang Huahua Town rolled out a range of online and offline promotions to attract tourists.
Family-friendly experiences were especially popular at venues like Tongmeng Xitian in Xinpu, Shuitian Shanyu Camp, and Huayu Countryside Camp in Pianpo, offering over 20 nature-inspired activities like wild vegetable picking, making traditional Qingming pastries, and catching minnows.
Meanwhile, the district's library, cultural center, and themed bookstores hosted a series of Qingming-themed public cultural events, including a guqin cultural sharing session, parent-child therapy salons, and citywide reading campaigns.
