On Dec 28, the Guizhou Provincial People's Government released the sixth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage (ICH) representative items, including five from Wudang district, Guiyang, the provincial capital.

They are Shenjin Tongyao Plaster, the Zimei Flute, the Bouyei "Lunar June 6" Festival, Bouyei Wedding Customs, and Fengxiang Dyeing Techniques.

In recent years, 50 projects have been recognized as national, provincial, municipal, or district-level ICH items in Wudang. This is due to strong support from government departments at all levels, assistance from various sectors of society, and the dedicated efforts of ICH inheritors and communities. Wudang now has two national-level, 16 provincial-level, 28 municipal-level, and four district-level items.

The district currently has 33 recognized inheritors of ICH, including one at the national level, six at the provincial level, 23 at the municipal level, and three at the district level.
