Wudang promotes summer tourism in Changsha

Wudang district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held an event to promote its summer tourism appeal in Yuhua district, Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province, on July 12.

Leaders of Wudang district and the Wudang Economic Development Zone (Wudang EDZ) and representatives of Changsha-based enterprises, as well as local media, attended the event.

Wang Mingming, Party secretary of Wudang and secretary of the Party working committee of Wudang EDZ, said in his speech that Guizhou and Hunan are connected by mountains and rivers and share cultural ties. The two provinces have close geographical, human, and cultural connections. As the capitals of their respective provinces, Guiyang and Changsha have frequent exchanges and deep emotional bonds, especially in industrial development, cultural tourism, and other areas. Wudang invites everybody to visit and experience the unique charm of this vibrant city.

Wang also mentioned that Wudang is a national all-area tourism demonstration zone, one of the best destinations for summer vacations, health, and leisure tourism, and one of the most valuable areas for cultural and tourism development and investment. At summer retreats, Wudang boasts a number of summer rental houses and "migratory bird long-term rental houses", which are almost fully booked every summer. This year, the summer resort living in the district's Pingba village, Yangchang town, has become particularly popular.
