Guizhou Tianan Pharmaceutical is a pharmaceutical company in Wudang that focuses on diabetes medication. It generates over 50 metric tons of production and domestic wastewater daily. How does it recycle and utilize this wastewater? It has invested millions of yuan to build a sewage treatment plant and pond. The sewage treatment plant adopts advanced treatment processes to ensure that the wastewater meets relevant discharge standards.
In order to visually demonstrate the effectiveness of water purification, the company began introducing various fish species into the ponds when the sewage treatment plant was put into operation.
"Because fish have particularly high requirements for water quality, we use fish farming to better monitor the compliance of water quality standards," said Wang Desheng, a manager at the company.
Currently, the treated reclaimed water is not only used for fish farming but also for irrigation in the factory area and for road cleaning. This maximizes the recycling and utilization of water resources at Tianan Pharmaceutical.
