As of March, Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, had created 1,816 jobs for urban residents this year, accounting for 30.27 percent of this year's target of 6,000 jobs and surpassing the first-quarter target.

In recent years, Wudang has been focusing on bolstering employment.

To enhance employment services, efforts have been made to create employment public service platforms in eight towns and five sub-districts across 110 villages and communities district-wide. These platforms promote employment by disseminating employment policies, implementing employment strategies, conducting employment services, providing skills training, and recommending job opportunities.

Since last year, Wudang has conducted and completed a total of 95 vocational skills training sessions, benefiting 4,222 individuals. Among the participants, 1,902 received short-term and intensive training; 367 participated in medium to long-term project-based training; and 1,669 individuals received entrepreneurship training. These efforts have increased the rate of success in entrepreneurship, thereby generating more employment opportunities.

Meanwhile, since the beginning of this year, Wudang has strengthened employment recruitment efforts, striving to broaden employment channels by collecting 4,407 job positions. This initiative has resulted in 528 local hires. Additionally, the district has organized five job fairs offering a cumulative total of 908 job opportunities and achieving employment intentions with 632 individuals.

Furthermore, one campus job fair was held with 49 participating companies offering 111 positions, targeting 763 candidates, and securing preliminary employment intentions with 285 individuals.
