In recent years, Wudang district has regarded talent as its primary resource and has been vigorously carrying out four major talent-related initiatives – attracting, cultivating, utilizing, and retaining. It has continuously optimized the environment for talent development, providing robust intellectual support for the development of Wudang.

In 2023, Wudang introduced 190 high-level and urgently-needed talents, 1,530 talents in the manufacturing industry, and 810 talents in the big data sector. The district has consistently implemented new talent policies, providing 941 sets of affordable housing for talent and disbursing policy funds amounting to 3.62 million yuan ($505,352.7) in the form of corporate salary subsidies, settlement allowances, and other policies.

The district also added 17 new provincial-level specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), along with one collaborative innovation platform for industry-education integration. Guidance and assistance were provided to enterprises in applying for more than 60 provincial and municipal projects.

Since last year, the district has added three provincial-level talent development platform carriers and five municipal-level talent development platform carriers. Nine enterprises were approved as innovative SMEs in the province in 2023, and eight enterprises were recognized as provincial-level specialized and sophisticated enterprises.

In addition, Wudang has encouraged agricultural expert teams to provide production technology, marketing knowledge, and other skills to rural talent through methods such as on-site teaching, field classrooms, and online instruction. In the past year, the expert team has conducted on-site guidance 5,175 times and trained 18,900 farmers.
