Gingko festival injects vitality to village

Huanglian village in Wudang district, Guiyang held a gingko festival on Nov 11.

The festival gave visitors the chance to appreciate gingko trees and gain a deeper understanding of the village, aiming to power ahead with the development of local tourism.

At the start of the festival, villagers dressed in Bouyei costumes sang toast songs and held a bowl of wine to welcome visitors. Then, a series of activities including ethnic singing and dancing performances, basketball games, and a Bouyei long-table banquet offered visitors a joyful experience, especially the long-table banquet, which was full of local specially-flavored dishes.
