Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will put 13 new-energy buses on the streets by the end of August. The new vehicles, which are quieter than gas-powered buses and emit zero pollutants, are expected to improve the commuting experience for residents.

Route 3 buses will be replaced with purely-electric buses, which emit no carbon dioxide and are nearly silent, providing passengers with a much more comfortable experience.

Last August, Guizhou Wudang Qiantong Automobile Express Passenger and Freight Transport Co introduced two new-energy buses, which saved energy , as well as reduced emissions and operating costs.

With an increasing number of people choosing public transportation as their primary means of getting around, the company considers new energy buses an important way to achieve the dual-carbon goal and to improve service.

In addition to the 13 buses introduced this August, the company will also update more than 20 new-energy buses before March 2024, bring the company closer to its low-carbon and environmentally-friendly goals and making the public transportation experience safer, more comfortable, and quieter.
