A newly established community health service center on Longguang Road in Wudang district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently organized free medical activities, providing residents with complimentary traditional Chinese medicine packages and rehabilitation treatments, including cervical spine and lumbar tui na, which is Chinese traditional massage.
The Longguang Road Community Health Service Center project is one of this year's "Ten Practical Things" focusing on improving people's livelihood in the district. Having now been completed, it allows local residents to enjoy high-quality medical services at their doorstep, greatly improving their level of convenience and well-being.
In recent years, Wudang district has been ramping up its investment in health and medical institutions. Two community health service centers will go into use this year.
Efforts have also been made to improve the medical environment of those institutions and optimize the allocation of medical and health resources. All township hospitals and 77 village clinics in the district have met the related construction standards, and the allocation of medical equipment is sufficient to meet the medical needs of locals.

As of May, the district completed full coverage of electronic medical applications at district, township and village medical institutions.
Looking ahead, Wudang will strengthen two county medical sub-centers and promote the construction of standardized outpatient clinics for maternal and child health to improve the capacity of its basic public health services.
