As warm spring weather gradually sweeps across the country from southern areas to the north, Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will soon be blanketed in blooming flowers.

As of now, poppies, tulips, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, and rhododendrons will bloom in turn, providing a variety of spring scenes across the district for tourists to choose from.

Xiaba, Xinchang and Baiyi, along with Yangchang Huahua Small Town and Shizi Mountain, all in the jurisdiction of Wudang are among the best places to admire flowers.

The plum tree planting area on Shizi Mountain reaches 3,000 mu, while the cherry trees in Xiaba cover a total area of 9,000 mu. Of note, the number of poppies and tulips planted in Yangchang Huhua Small Town totals 250,000.

From March to October, Wudang is planned to launch around 20 flower admiring activities, based on flowers that grow in the different seasons.

Additionally, the 3,000-mu tea gardens in Baiyi town will offer tourists spring tea leaf picking, tea making and tea tasting experiences.
