Construction on the Wudang-Changshun Expressway, a key project intended to help build Guizhou province into a land transportation hub in Southwest China, is currently progressing rapidly.

The starting point of the expressway is located in Wudang district, Guiyang, capital of Guizhou.

It connects the Guiyang-Weng'an Expressway and the Duyun-Anshun Expressway, and finally arrives at Changshun county in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.

The expressway runs for a total of about 115 kilometers and is designed with six lanes and a maximum speed of 100 km per hour.

To date, the expressway is 22.6 percent complete. Specifically, the roadbed is 38 percent complete, while the bridge is 30 percent complete. It is expected to be completed and open to traffic in 2024.

It is intended to improve traffic flow in Guizhou province, allowing people in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture to get on the expressway in half an hour and get to the airport in one hour.
