Two development cases in Wudang district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, have been included in an article explaining Guizhou's economic and social development achievements over the past 10 years.

The article was published by the People's Daily on Aug 3.

The selected two cases reflect Wudang's achievements in the digital economy and rural revitalization.

The first is Guiyang Wanjiang Aviation Electromechanical Co, which serves as a model for the integrated development of big data and the real economy.

The company is benefiting in an increasing number of ways, Jin added.

The other Wudang case is the district's Matou village, which has embarked on a rapid development path integrating culture, tourism, commerce and agriculture.

Taking advantage of its abundant tourism attractions, ethnic group culture and beautiful countryside, Matou village has opened 28 nongjiale, or farm homestay businesses, and 19 countryside hotels.

Each year, Matou village is expected to receive 50,000 tourist visits and achieve a tourism revenue of around 20 million yuan ($3.01 million), becoming a provincial-level countryside tourism site.
