Efforts by Wudang district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, to promote the standardized construction of industrial plants and introduce more enterprises have delivered strong results.
The Luowan standardized industrial plant project in the jurisdiction of the district is an excellent example of the development strategy.
The project is designed to cover 114 mu (7.6 hectares) and build standardized plants over a total area of 120,000 square meters.
Construction of the project is scheduled to start in July this year, and its first stage will be completed in December.
Wudang district has launched models for customized plant construction and rent-before-buy in preparation for the industrial plant project.
Under the new models, Wudang government officials have met with enterprises in need of plants, conducted in-depth exchanges on the project format, estimated the investment and benefits of each enterprise, and verified requirements such as plant scale and structure, parameters and supporting production facilities.
The moves aim to satisfy potential plant users' custom plant needs and improve the district's enterprise services.
So far, six enterprises have confirmed they will set up operations in the Luowan standardized plants. They are involved in such sectors as equipment manufacturing, wine brewing, fruit and vegetable beverage processing, food and drug packaging and supporting industries.
Among them, one enterprise has bought its own plants and five decided to rent plants.
These enterprises are expected to use a total area of 75,000 square meters of standardized plants and are expected to generate an annual output value of 680 million yuan ($102.03 million).
