The Wudang district government signed an agreement on April 27 with Hunan Laiang Wine Co to co-develop its wine industry.

According to the agreement, the Hunan-based company, a comprehensive wine production enterprise involved in grape cultivation, processing, sales, sightseeing, tourism and leisure, will build the Xinbao Wine Production Experience Center in Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The project has received 100 million yuan ($15.01 million) in investment and will be involved in grape cultivation, wine production and sales, and experimental sightseeing.

Construction on the center is expected to take seven months, and it is expected to start production in 2023.

Ai Jiang, head of the Wudang district government, said that Xinbao Bouyei township has some experience in the cultivation and primary processing of grapes.

The wine production experience center is expected to boost the development of the local economy and play an essential role in the development of the Hunan company.

There is hope that the two parties will work together to deepen cooperation and promote the development of tourism industrialization in Wudang.
