Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will make strong efforts to boost new-type industrialization and urbanization over the next five years.

The district plans to achieve double-digit growth in GDP, population and the downtown built-up area.

Meanwhile, the medical and health industries and electronic information manufacturing industry are expected to see rapid development.

To achieve these goals, Wudang will build four living circles, build or renovate six parking lots, and renovate five residential communities, four shanty towns and 20 back alleys in a bid to improve the living environment for the district's 260,000 residents.
