Wudang to introduce 8b yuan in industrial projects in 2022

Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is expected to introduce 23 enterprises and industrial projects with 8 billion yuan ($1.20 billion) in funds in place in 2022.

The introduced projects and enterprises will be in line with the district's development strategy, namely achieving new-type industrialization, urbanization, agricultural modernization and tourism industrialization.

To boost the development of the manufacturing sector, Wudang will aim to introduce projects related to Chinese patent medicine and health food production, in vitro diagnosis, rehabilitation equipment and other medical equipment manufacturing projects.

It will also introduce sensitive components and sensors, intelligent wearable equipment, and electronic intelligent terminal manufacturing projects.

For the development of the tourism industry, the Wudang government plans to build a series of high-quality projects involving mid-to-high-end hotels, homestays, folk culture, hot spring tourism development, vacations, health care, and tourism commodity production and distribution.

Digital tourism investment promotion targeting the top ten online travel companies nationwide will also be conducted in an effort to expand the tourism market.

The city also plans to build a number of highly competitive and attractive commercial blocks, including ones along Xintian Avenue, and carry out urban renewal of plots in Dongfeng Area and on Dongxin Road.
