Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will take three measures to boost rural revitalization in the next five years.

The measures will consolidate achievements in poverty alleviation, advance the development of rural industries and improve the capacity of countryside treatment.

There are plans for Wudang to establish a long-term poverty alleviation and normalized assistance mechanism for the low-income rural population.

Moves will also be made to boost the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in Wudang in a bid to extend the industrial value chain and raise the incomes of residents.

In addition, a series of measures centering on housing, waste water, toilets and garbage treatment will be taken.

This year, Wudang has set goals of achieving a primary industry added-value of 2.15 billion yuan ($322.58 million), establishing 420 garbage collection sites and finishing waste water treatment in five villages.

Meanwhile, the per capita disposable income of rural permanent residents in Wudang is expected to reach 24,994 yuan, an increase of more than 12 percent.

By 2025, the added value of the primary industry in Wudang is expected to reach 3 billion yuan with an average annual growth rate of more than 7 percent.

The per capita disposable income of rural permanent residents is expected to reach 31,216 yuan with an average annual growth rate of more than 9 percent.

The modernization level of the rural governance system in Wudang is also expected to significantly improve.
