Wudang initiates activities to promote district image

Activities to promote the profound culture, charming natural landscape and green development practices in Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province officially started on Dec 11.

Around 40 people were invited to visit Wudang's Xinbao and Pianpo townships, which are the settlements of the Bouyei people, an ethnic group that inhabits Guizhou province.

During their visits, the participants had chances to enjoy and sample Bouyei people's folk cultural activities such as singing, dancing, food processing, musical instrument playing and embroidering.

Participants were expected to express their views of Wudang after experiencing the activities through their eyes in the form of poetry, documentary literature and photography as well as calligraphy and painting.
