The Wudang district of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has reportedly made great progress in boosting the integration and development of its military and civilian industries in recent years and continues to do so.

In 2020, military-civilian integrated enterprises in Wudang generated a total industrial output value of 7.6 billion yuan, accounting for about 48 percent of the region's industrial output value.

Moreover, these enterprises achieved an added value of 2.31 billion yuan, an increase of 75.6 percent year-on-year and they contributed some 250 million yuan in industrial taxes.

In recent years, Wudang has continued to transform and upgrade its traditional industries and it has also cultivated and expanded into new business formats.

The district has completed the construction of an organic and bottom electrode chip tantalum capacitor project and a chip film resistor production line.

It has rolled out a technical transformation project for the dielectric material production line for chip multilayer ceramic capacitors, as well as accelerated the build-out of a solid aluminum capacitor intelligent production line and an ultra-micro MLCC dielectric materials production line.

Currently, Wudang has nine military and civilian integration development projects under construction, with a total investment projected at 187 million yuan.

To improve the competitiveness of local enterprises, the district is reportedly encouraging businesses to continuously increase their investments in scientific research and cultivate innovation carriers.

At present, Wudang has established one national-level R&D center, five provincial-level enterprise technology centers and nine enterprise technology R&D centers.

The district has also reportedly supported technological R&D and upgrades in such key areas as new materials, electronic components, high-end integrated circuits, key process equipment, LTCC modules, capacitors and third-generation semiconductor devices.
