Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, established a training base for industrial workers to increase employability on Oct 13.
The base is meant to help laid-off workers, unemployed people, farmer-workers, and unemployed college graduates receive vocational and entrepreneurial training.
The base, occupying an area of 200 square meters, is well equipped and can accommodate 150 people for training or competitions. With a focus on theoretical training, the base will also provide practical training for nursing, security, housekeeping, catering, cooking, and other vocational skills.
Every year, at least five periods of vocational training and two competitions will be organized.
The base is expected to improve the employability of industrial workers and thus facilitate the industrial transformation and upgrading of Wudang district.
