During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday on Sept 19-21, Wudang district – in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – received a total of 255,700 tourists and generated tourism income of 116 million yuan ($17.93 million).
Some scenic spots in the district launched more than 10 kinds of fun and appealing tourism activities during the three-day break.
In addition, some townships and scenic spots organized a number of exciting events for visitors, including lantern riddle guessing, bonfires, parent-child fish catching and on-stage performances.
During the holiday, the tourist market at all scenic spots and entertainment venues in Wudang reported good attendances, with no major problems, accidents, tourist complaints and other incidents.
