Wudang ready for Guizhou Vegetable Seed Industry Expo

Recently, Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, completed planting work for the first Guizhou Vegetable Seed Industry Expo and has entered the comprehensive management and protection stage.

The main planned exhibition area of the expo is in Jiagang village, Yangchang town, Wudang district, and covers a total area of 119.71 mu (7.98 hectares), including 29.57 mu of facility greenhouses and 90.14 mu of open-air areas.

The exhibition area will feature Guizhou's main cultivated vegetable varieties such as solanaceous vegetables, melons, beans, cabbages, and leafy vegetables.

As of Aug 23, 1,050 varieties had been planted, with a planting area of 106.71 mu, including 29.57 mu of greenhouses and 77.14 mu of open-air areas. The remaining 13 mu should be planted by the end of August.
