Since the beginning of this year, Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has given priority to agricultural and rural development with the goal of comprehensively promoting rural revitalization.

It has accelerated the advancement of agricultural modernization and promoted the in-depth integration and development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, adding vitality to modern agriculture.

By 2025, the total output value of agricultural product processing industries above a designated size is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan. The conversion rate of agricultural product processing is expected to reach 75 percent, and 10 demonstration sites for rural revitalization are expected to be built.

Focusing on the deep processing of agricultural products, organic agriculture, the forest economy, and agricultural cultural tourism business, Wudang will enhance the competitiveness, influence, and profitability of agricultural products and speed up the development of high-end vegetables, high-quality fruit, personalized tea products, wild medicinal materials, and branding of flowers.

To advance rural construction, the district will implement a five-year improvement action for rural human settlements, promote the upgrading and transformation of rural household sanitary toilets, treat rural sewage and domestic garbage, and eliminate rural black and odorous water bodies.

In addition, it will develop a fruit and vegetable industry belt, a tourism and sightseeing belt, and a picking experience belt to promote the development of agricultural industry demonstration belts.
