In recent years, Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has expanded new models and promoted consumption upgrades to develop its commerce industry.

The Yonghui Supermarket located on Yongtian Avenue in the district is a beneficiary of the move.

The market has operated in Wudang for six years, and this year, it combined its accumulated customer base resources to transform its 13,000 square meters of area into a warehouse-style supermarket with better prices.

"It is the first stockroom-style supermarket in Guizhou. After transforming the original traditional model into a warehouse-style sales model, while reducing personnel costs, the price of goods was lowered accordingly, allowing consumers to enjoy cheaper prices," said Huo Ji, the store manager.

Wudang has focused on improving consumption supply and optimizing its consumption environment through a consumption promotion month, the creation of a consumption atmosphere, and support for business entities carrying out consumption promotion activities.

Moving forward, Wudang will continue to optimize its layout and accelerate the construction of commercial areas, pedestrian streets, and brand chain convenience stores, and strengthen the construction of production and marketing channels for agricultural products.

In addition, it will attract business in the field of commerce and trade, lay out commercial outlets and life service facilities, and build a number of characteristic commercial complexes and pedestrian streets to promote the high-quality development of the commerce industry in the district.
