Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held activities to celebrate International Children's Day on June 1, according to local media reports.
The 10th students' art festival opened on the same day and saw the participation of district officials, including Li Cheng, the head of Wudang district.
Cultural and art performances – including dancing and singing – were held during the event.
In addition, performances themed on Party history were staged in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Before the celebration's opening ceremony, district officials also visited an exhibition of calligraphy and paintings made by students.
