Wudang strives for high-quality development in 2021

In Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, Wudang district is planning high-quality development in 2021.

Throughout the year, the district will focus on rural revitalization, big data and the environment. It will simultaneously promote new industrialization, new urbanization, agricultural modernization and tourism industrialization.

The district will promote new industrialization and plan to build a Chinese medicine and medical equipment industrial park worth 10 billion yuan ($1.52 billion) to boost the pharmaceutical industry's development. It will also promote the transformation and upgrading of the medicine, specialty foods and equipment manufacturing sectors.

Tourism industrialization will also be promoted. The district will improve the necessary supporting facilities of scenic spots, strengthen the tourism market's governance, enrich the tourism industry and launch several high-quality tourism routes. It also plans to build a national-level tourist resort.

Wudang will encourage innovative development of the service industry, pushing the development of the nighttime economy, accelerating the construction of modern logistics parks and striving to build a national backbone cold chain logistics base.

The district will enhance the integrated development of big data and the real economy, supporting big data companies' growth and accelerating the establishment of a big data industry cluster demonstration base.

Wudang district will also promote modern urbanization, agricultural modernization, ecological development and improving people's livelihoods.
