Employment
Over the past five years, Wudang district has continued to promote and expand employment by helping key groups, such as college graduates, unemployed persons and migrant workers, and has encouraged entrepreneurship to drive employment.
These efforts have resulted in the vast improvement of the employment environment in the district.
Each year, Wudang district would organize 12 job fairs targeting different job seekers.
Subsidies totaling more than 7 million yuan have been issued to 1,990 start-up projects, and small secured loans totaling 87.99 million yuan have been given in the last five years.
The district has also carried out training sessions to improve the employment skills of 24,844 job seekers.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, 46,441 new jobs were created in urban areas, and 11,646 rural migrant laborers were employed.
Social security
In the past five years, Wudang district has tried its best to do an excellent job with social insurance so that people can fully enjoy the fruits of economic and social development.
Until now, 78,061 people have participated in endowment insurance in the district, and 1.75 billion yuan for insurance has been collected.
Wudang district has also established a robust social assistance system. As of November 2020, a total of 965 registered groups in the district have been included in the scope of rural subsistence allowances, extreme poverty and orphans’ assistance systems.
Also, during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, Wudang district has promoted housing security projects, including issuing rental subsidies and increasing the construction of affordable housing.
Over the past five years, the district has issued a total of 5.56 million yuan in public housing rental subsidies for 1,923 households.
