Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has honored 3.85 million yuan ($577,644) in rewards to local enterprises in technology research and development this year.
According to information from the Wudang bureau of science and technology, 30 enterprises in Wudang district obtained the award money.
Of which, Guizhou Jingfeng Injection Co and Guizhou Lizhijian Biological Technology Co each received 1 million yuan of municipal-level major science and technology special funding, and Xinyun Electronic Components Co – affiliated to China Zhenhua Electronics Group – received 500,000 yuan of the financing.
Meanwhile, the 27 enterprises in Wudang district that were recognized as high-tech enterprises in 2019 and 2020 each received 50,000 yuan in funding.
At an awarding ceremony held on Nov 25, Wudang's bureau of science and technology explained the relevant preferential policies to the participating companies in detail. The bureau also conducted training on new declarations for enterprises to fill in on preferential policy documents related to R&D investment statistics, additional tax deductions and subsidies for R&D investment.
Moving forward, the Wudang bureau will widely publicize science and technology policies to enterprises to help them solve practical problems and encourage enterprises to apply for R&D rewards.
To date, enterprises in Wudang district have received a total of 21 million yuan in R&D funds.
