Wudang district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has invested 26.73 million yuan ($3.97 million) since 2016 to help impoverished areas in Guizhou to escape poverty, according to information released by the district government.
Wudang has established poverty-alleviation partnerships with Duncao township in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Tianzhu county in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Mashan town in Qianxi'nan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture and Luodian county in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.
Over a four-year period, a total of 23 projects covering people's livelihoods, industry development and employment were implemented, and 798 training courses were conducted, benefiting 13,600 poverty-stricken people.
