Wudang district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, had implemented 23 major health industry projects as of Sept 30 this year, with a total investment of 25.58 billion yuan ($3.82 billion).
The planned investment in Wudang's health industry this year is 3.48 billion yuan, and the actual completed investment has reached 2.73 billion yuan, accounting for 78.49 percent of the annual planned investment.
Among the 23 health projects are six new projects that require construction. Of these, four new construction projects broke ground and two have already completed construction.
The completed projects include the protective equipment production line, pharmaceutical packaging materials and container production line and related supporting facilities of Guizhou Qianye Pharmaceutical Packaging Co, and the medical mask production line of Guizhou Qifu Group Holdings Co.
Since the beginning of this year, Wudang has seized the development opportunities of the big health industry spawned by the epidemic, guiding and supporting the technological transformation and expansion of its existing pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
It aims to build an "industrial chain + logistics chain" high-end modern pharmaceutical logistics industry, and build itself into a national health, medical and elderly care destination.
