Updated: 2020-04-17

The Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Wudang district -- in Guiyang, capital city of China’s Southwest Guizhou province -- held an awards ceremony for 29 local property companies on April 10, local officials said.

The bureau praised the fulfillment of their responsibilities in helping with the fight against the novel coronavirus and distributed two million yuan ($284,000) in supplementary funds to the companies -- that had strictly implemented residential community closed-end management and conducted supervision and inspections of the epidemic prevention work.

Since the outbreak, Wudang’s 29 property enterprises have exercised closed management in 44 residential communities, controlling a potential debilitating and dangerous spread of the outbreak there, officials said.

“Our company had been awarded 340,000 yuan during the epidemic prevention and control period, strengthening our confidence and determination to beat the virus,” said Zhang Hongfen, assistant general manager of Guizhou Poly Property Management Co.

Guizhou Poly Property Management Co arranged for 500 of its employees to conduct operations every day to ensure the safety of residents.
