Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a qigong competition on Sept 20, aiming to improve the awareness of health maintenance for locals.

Hosted by the district Party committee and the district government, the competition saw 12 teams comprised of workers from the district's different enterprises, institutes, and organizations competing by showing off their qigong skills.
As part of a national qigong activity taking place in hundreds of cities and thousands of villages, the Wudang qigong competition not only aimed to entice more people to take part in health maintenance activities, but help them establish a philosophy of healthy living.
