Wudang Panlongshan Provincial Forest Park, established in Dec 2010, is located in Wudang district, Guiyang city, with a planned area of 19.37 million square meters.

The park is 21.5 kilometers from downtown Guiyang and 15 km from Wudang district's administration center. The existing tourism infrastructure includes a 20-km-long sightseeing footpath, a 7.9-km tourist highway, three sightseeing towers, and a 450-square-meter tourist service center.

The scenic area in the forest park is dominated by natural scenery of canyons, waterfalls, rapids and cliffs. All the landscapes are well designed and can be easily reached along the sightseeing footpaths.

As the park is in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, it has a pleasant climate because of the southeast monsoon, featuring warm winters and cool summers. The annual average rainfall is 1,200 millimeters, mostly at the end of spring and the beginning of summer. The park's average relative humidity is 81 percent and average temperature is 13-15 C.

With a forest coverage rate at 97.2 percent, the park mainly consists of pinus massoniana, cryptomeria fortune, and pinus armandi. The rare plants include orchids, Chinese yew, ancient ginkgo and Guizhou camellia azalea. Animals living in the park include small civets, golden pheasants, squirrels, monkeys, wild boar, hares, wild goats, pangolins, snakes and fish. With a large variety of wild mushrooms and plants, the park is a treasure house of biodiversity.
